Adventures of Riverlea Farm Book Two

Welcome to the Adventures of Riverlea Farm in South Africa!

In this second book of the series, Jon-the-Vet has a farm and a pet but is missing something. He has a long time friend who lives in America but loves to come back to Africa for holidays. Some of her adventures to Zambia, Namibia and Kenya are shown, along a few of her photographs of wild animals. By the end of the book, Jon-the-Vet asks Sweet-Pen to stay in Africa and they end up getting married. Book two finishes with an animal track matching activity, along with a "Did You Know" page dedicated to the white and black rhinos .

Through rhyme and humor, and occasional life lessons, children will enjoy the adventures to be found on a farm in South Africa. The series has been written by Penelope Alison, a speech language pathologist, for the language enrichment of children ages two to seven. The series can also serve as a reader for children in grades two to three looking to expand their reading skills.
